Composer-Performer Project 
 Due Week of December 9th, 2019**** (2nd Extension)
Grades 5th- 8th

RUBRIC

1. Students must create a 16 measure phrase in 4/4 time signature using only quarter notes & quarte rest. Example

     ​2. Students must be able to play their phrase on the Bucket Drums or Drum pads with drum sticks
         to a song below.
​     3. Students can also choose their own instrumental. Instrumental must be APPROVED by 
         ME!
     4. Students will perform in class
     5. Composer-Performer Project will be Critiqued by the Class
     6. Special Education students will have option to clap their phrases
               a. Begin with a bar line at the beginning of every phrase
               b.  Use 4
                           4 Time Signature at the beginning of every phrase after bar line of the manuscript
                            paper
               c. 4 beats in a measure
               d. You can only use quarter notes and quarter rest in your measures
               e. You can only repeat one measure
               f. You can not use 4 quarter rest in a measure 
               g. Use a bar line at end of a measure
               h. Use a Double bar line at the end of the song
               i. USE A PENCIL
               j. You MUST have DANCE MOVES  in the beginning of your project
               k. Put your first, last name, room # & date
               l. Write the name of your song
               m. Title: Composer-Performer Project on your paper
